Job Title: Area Manager

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000

My client is a long established, distributor of hydraulics, industrial and general engineering components, who supplies to the Aerospace, Marine, utility and local blue-chip end users and OEM’s. Due to growth, they now require a Technical Sales Engineer to complement their existing team to cover the South West.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and expand sales of the company’s products and services to existing customers & identify opportunities in new areas.

Prepare an annual sales plan for key accounts within the area.

Monitor the sales to these accounts noting deficits making corrective actions.

Maintain regular contact with key accounts, identifying new opportunities to increase levels of business.

Ensure that the gross profit margin agreed by the management team is maintained.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that all customer enquiries are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.

Prepare regular visit and monthly reports.
Work with other sales staff and branch managers to arrange joint sales visits to maximize opportunities.

Take advantage of any further product or personal development opportunities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Ideally experience of selling hydraulic and pneumatic components within the OEM sector, an understanding of hydraulics circuits would be an advantage.

Ability to organize and maintain a call plan for a geographical area.
Ability to demonstrate a proven track record as a Technical Sales Engineer.

Living in the South West.
