Title: Sales Engineer
Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 (subject to experience)

My client is a well-established privately owned multi-branch distributor servicing a range of fluid power products, process, hose, site services and general engineering products. They currently have a vacancy for a Regional Sales Engineer to increase their market share in Scotland from their Glasgow branch. This will involve generating new business and developing and maintaining existing customers ranging from blue chip end users through to small and medium OEM’s for fluid power, hose assemblies and other engineering product requirements.
Achieving real sales growth and exceeding personal sales targets.
Generate new customers, in addition to developing existing accounts.
Maintain company profitability by selling service and benefits.
Plan the area in an efficient and cost effect manner to enable targets to be exceeded.
Ensure service expectations of all major accounts are met to ensure sales and profitability is exceeded.
Prepare and implement an account development plan for key accounts.
Prospect, identify, qualify and open new business accounts on a regular basis.
Enthusiastically promote new products and services to all customers and prospects.
Actively participate in product campaigns and surveys as requested.
Submit weekly call plan and call analysis data for all customer-related activity.
Communicate all major sales related opportunities to Head Office via the reporting system.
Maintain accurate records as required by the company on the database system provided on a daily basis.
Keep and maintain account records to identify sales opportunities.
Learn the features, advantages and benefit for all the main catalogued products
Undertake any special projects or tasks that may be required.
Attend sales meetings, training sessions and exhibitions as required.
